The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has
decided to resume some of the works undertaken as part of the ‘Smart City’
projects after a nod by the State government. All the works have been put on
hold after the YSRCP government, soon after assuming power, decided to review
the tender norms and the quantum of work completed.
Recently, the government asked Municipal Commissioner G. Srijana to review the
works and and resume those that have already been executed more than 25 % or
quoted less percentage in the tender value, on a need-based basis.
