Questioning the rationale behind the delay in appointment of Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) in Andhra Pradesh, social activist and Ramon Magsaysay awardee Sandeep Pandey on Monday said that the State was lagging behind when it came to the implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
Participating in a programme on the issues faced by the RTI applicants organised by the United Forum for RTI Campaign, A.P. at Sarada Library Hall at Anakapalle, Mr. Pandey said that the combined Andhra Pradesh was in the forefront in the implementation of the RTI Act.
